The GTA shunting trolley are designed as a means of transport for monorail systems in the field, as well as in material transfer points. They are the ideal means of transport for short transports on all monorail profiles, can be used up to 20gon / 18 °.
Roadway development - safe, economic and efficient
In the mining industry our focus is roadway development in underground hard coal operations. The deployment of GTA machines permits efficient, safe and economic roadway development.
The machines perform the following tasks, for example:
- Setting steel arch supports
- Drilling blastholes
- Installing roof bolts
- Installing pipes and overhead rails
- Providing a platform for work performed in roadway development
The equipment developed by GTA is largely geared towards machines that are suspended from and travel on overhead rails. These machines work in the upper part of the roadway cross-section, which we refer to as the ′upper level′.
GTA products led to the ′upper level′ being introduced in national and international roadway development.
The use of this ′upper level′ permits the separation and parallelisation of work procedures and offers great potential for safety, labour-saving and performance enhancement.
The battery driven Monorail BZK 60 is an innovative material and personnel transport system for the international mining industry. The ATEX-prooven disc motors are specially developed for this application and impress with their high efficency and high availability.
The BZK 60 convinces due to its high performance. The payload and the range were significantly increased compared with the common monorail technology.
According to our maxim of ′being open for special client requests′ GTA continuously designs, develops and manufactures custom machines.
For GTA, the resolving of client-specific problems and the resulting development of new machines is an interesting and welcome challenge. The company′s 25 years of experience in machine construction is a great help here.
GTA Monorail Moving Systems are pushing- or pulling devices for monorails. Their braking elements generate the necessary retention force by form fit. The pushing- and pulling forces of max. 60 kN are generated by one or two hydraulic driving cylinders. By form fit the transmission of forces is guaranteed and is not depending on the condition of the surface of the rail (e.g. dirty, humid, greasy).
The Swivelling Platform 5400 is used in conjunction with a floor-bound M2000 Roadway Support Manipulator for the installation of support in underground roadway development operations. It serves as a secure and ergonomic stand for all supplementary tasks involved in the installation of steel arches. Thanks to the 5400′s hydraulic swivelling function, the work platform can always be positioned parallel to the roadway axis.
Multifunctional Baskets are primarily used in conjunction with floor-bound drilling units for the insertion of roof bolts in underground roadway development operations.
Pipe and rail manipulators are special machines developed by GTA to permit the simple and ergonomic installation of pipes and heavy I 140 V rails.
Monorail Drilling Units are used for drilling blastholes and inserting roof bolts when excavating underground roadways.
They can be deployed in both curves and 90° turns. The monorail-guided system permits the achievement of good parallelisation effects.
Altogether GTA offers four different types of drilling unit for use in the mining industry. All four can be fitted with different drilling rigs according to the conditions in which they are deployed. According to the type of rock encountered, both a percussive-rotary drill and a rotary drilling machine can be used.
Support manipulators are used in underground roadway development operations with Type A roof bolting (roof-bolting at the face) for the installation of steel arch supports.
Generally GTA distinguishes between two types of support manipulator:
- Crawler track manipulator and
- Monorail manipulator
Support-setting devices are deployed with roadheaders for the installation of steel arches when excavating underground roadways. These devices perform the setting of one or two roof bars or a support (with props retracted).
Generally three criteria are fulfilled by the deployment of support-setting devices: Improved safety at the roadhead, labour savings during roadheader operations and improved performance and thus reduced costs of roadheader operations.
GTA has developed two types of support-setting device that differ in terms of size and design.
