For special tasks like escalator shafts, GTA has developed the Uphill Excavator. This machine is operated on the upper level; it is movably suspended at the roof by two bearing rail tracks. The working boom is equipped with a quick coupling system.
The Monorail Drilling Unit 7600 is used for drilling blastholes, roof bolting and installing nails.
The track removal machine GAE 9000 was developed and built by GTA on behalf of the Arlberg Tunnel consortium and has been in service since October 2007.
The GTA Bridge 7500 is suspended from and travels on a twin overhead rail track. This construction makes operating on two working levels during tunnelling driving operations possible.
The TAM 7500A is suspended at two „I 140 E“ overhead monorail tracks at the tubbing rings (rail gauge about 3m)
and is moved by a GTA monorail walking mechanism at these rails.
The machine is suspended from and travels on two overhead rails and allows work to be performed on two levels when driving tunnels.
The tunnel enlargement machine permits the cost-effective enlargement of old railway tunnels while train operations continue.
