The System Thorbolt® and dynamic bolting - a new way of thinking in bolting
Dynamic bolting means that the bolt is grouted under a balanced pressure exceeding the ground water pressure. The grout paste does not only fill the annulus completely.It also penetrates the rock and gives a final grouting of the connecting fissure systems, effectively sealing off the water flow and at the same time strengthening the ground.
The System Thorbolt® does not only give a better and safer bolting operation. It also introduces new and improved elements as final grouting and active arch vaulting. Both operations are done at the same time as the bolting operation.
Two of the most important advantages with the system Thorbolt® and dynamic bolting are:
1. You are sure the bolt is completely embedded in grout and because of that is protected against corrosion
2. The bolt can be used in water-carrying rock or vertical holes without risking the grout is flwing from the hole.
